Are drum packages cheaper than buying individual components?
Yes, all of our drum packages offer substantial savings versus buying the items individually. The exact amount you save will depend on what additional items are offered in the package, but in all cases the cost of the package will be less than the total cost of the separate items.
What does an electric drum kit package include?
The answer to that question depends on the features of the particular kit.
All of our electric drum kit packages include a drum throne or stool, a pair of headphones, and a set of drumsticks. For some digital kits, that's all you need, as the drum heads will be attached to a rack, and the hi-hat clutch and kick drum are operated with 'trigger pedals' that send a signal to the module to trigger the kick drum sound or put the hi-hat sensor in 'closed' mode. The rack and trigger pedals are included in the box with the kit.
Some more advanced kits are designed for greater realism for the player, and so wil have more advanced components that may require accessories not included with the kit. These may include a kick drum pad that needs to be struck by a real kick pedal, a two-part hi-hat system that is opened and closed with a normal hi-hat clutch pedal stand, a snare drum or cymbals that require separate stands, and so on. For these kits, the standard package also includes all the pedals, stands and other accessories required.
Do packages include stools, sticks and headphones?
Yes, every electric drum kit package we offer comes with at least these three items.
Are beginner packages different from professional ones?
Beginner packages tend to include fewer additional items, as the kits are simpler. They will most likely have all drum heads and most if not all cymbals attached to the rack that comes with the kit, and use trigger pedals for the kick drum and/or hi-hat sounds.
More advanced kits will feature components that need additional accessories, such as the kind of stands and pedals typically found on acoustic drum kits. These features are designed to appeal to those who want a more realistic drumming experience from their digital kit.
However, it is important to note that this does not only apply to professionals or more advanced drummers; a digital kit being more advanced doesn't mean it will be harder to play, and in fact it could make it easier to switch between acoustic and digital kits when learning. Even complete beginners often want their digital drum kit to feel, sound or even look more like an acoustic kit.
