Second Hand Drums & Percussion FAQs
Are second hand drums reliable?
Second hand products are as reliable as the people you buy them from. If you're looking to buy second hand, we always recommend buying from an established, trusted retailer like Spears Music rather than putting your trust in an anonymous seller on a third-party site. We have spent decades building a reputation for trustworthiness and customer satisfaction. To maintain that reputation, we make sure that every used product we bring in is tested and quality controlled before being put up for sale.
What should I check before buying a used drumkit?
You should always read the product descriptions and view the included photographs carefully. As always, we want to make sure our customers are happy and get the product they're expecting, so here at Spears Music we always make sure to take detailed photographs of our used products and write item-specific product descriptions in the listing.
These photos and descriptions will help to ensure you have all the information about what condition the product is in, and to make you aware of any cosmetic or functional issues it may have, or any original parts that may no longer be with the item (such as stands, kick pedals, etc.). Please note that issues detailed in photographs or descriptions at time of sale are not considered faults for the purposes of returns.
If you still need more guidance, considering reading some of the Buyers Guides on our blog!
Do second hand products come with a warranty?
Here at Spears Music, we always offer a 3-Month Parts & Labour Guarantee on all second hand products, regardless of the product's age. That way, you can be confident that the second hand item you buy has been thoroughly tested and is in great working order!
This guarantee is backed by Spears Music, not by the manufacturer. Second hand products are not typically covered by a manufacturer's warranty, as this is a contract between the manufacturer and original buyer and is not transferable except at the manufacturer's discretion.
