Player Series
The brand new player series by Fender has arrived, and it has come with everything you would expect by the legendary guitar manufacturers and more. The player series has all the characteristics of that classic Fender sound that the guitar world has come to know and love, and whilst keeping in touch with it’s past, it has taken a step into the future with brand new designed pickups and features.
The new Iconic Stratocaster models, there has been some welcomed improvements that only enhance the already great guitar. The brand new player series pickups have been specifically designed to give that great fender tone with an edge, they are crisp and articulate and offer a tweak on the classic sound. The 2 point tremolo system offers wonderfully smooth and superior tremolo action. Fender has broken their tradition and has added a tone control for the bridge pickup giving you much more control in positions one and two. This is a personal feature of mine and has become one of my favourite sounds to come out of a guitar in recent times. There is also the introduction of another fret giving you more tonal possibilities than ever before. It’s now possible to bend the high D up to an E allowing four octaves of true Stratocaster sound to be unleashed. The modern C neck profile with traditional RADII shaped body gives a stylish yet very comfortable playing experience. And now to top it off there is now an F stamped neck plate to ensure you that what you’re getting, in my opinion, is the best guitar’s out there at its price. I was pretty much blown away with my first experience on one of these as a Stratocaster player throughout my playing years. They have something special about them. And the variations you can now get such as the Humbucker/Single coil/Single coil models deliver a wider spectrum of tones you can now achieve is remarkable.
The Telecaster should not be forgotten about either. The beautiful instrument has also been revamped with the brand new player series pickups offering superior tone to all of its competitors. The Telecaster now has bent steel bridge saddles, this adds a little bit of distinctiveness to the already remarkable tone giving you the edge. This has also had its body redesigned to the original specifications and is hand shaped to contour to your body for maximum comfortability whilst you play your instrument and with the modern C shaped neck, that taken one step further. Another nice touch is the amount of different finished you can now freely pick between, from a Mesmerizing Tide pool blue to a classic butterscotch blonde.
I personally always thought the Stratocaster had a slight edge of the ‘Tele’ now I am torn between the two after playing them both at our store here in Bolton. Why don’t you pop down to our store and give them both a try for yourself to see if we can settle this debate? Thank you for taking your time to read this blog and I hope to see you down here at our store in Bolton very soon. We have a huge range of guitars all waiting to find their forever home.
