And although hollow body archtop may not be the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Ibanez with such jazz icons as George Benson, Pat Metheny and John Scofield under their belt it’s hard to deny the standard of instruments they make, and the Ibanez Ags73t is no exception of this.

The first thing that strikes you when you see this guitar is just how good it looks. The entire guitar for headstock body has been stained over with darker brown to create this truly unique tobacco finish. Throw in a subtle black and white binding around the body, neck and f-holes a splash of gold hardware and you’ve got a seriously classy instrument on your hands.

The maple body gives a little pop to your tone bringing out all the small details of your playing coupled with the denser earthy tones of the mahogany neck and sublime balance of light and shade is created from this axe.

But the lovely tone doesn’t stop there the Classic Elite Humbucker (Passive/Ceramic) project the sound of the instrument wonderfully, allowing the guitars to sing more than colouring over the lush resonance.

And finally, a VBS80 vibrato system is the cherry on the cake, because who doesn’t like to wobble a major 7^th chord.
